👻A spooktacular family tradition at the Magnetic Hill Zoo! Step into our 40-acre park transformed with Halloween magic. From silly and spooky decorations to hair-raising haunted venues, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re a little pumpkin 🎃 or a full-on thrill seeker.

What’s waiting for you at Boo at the Zoo:
🕸️ Family-friendly Halloween décor throughout the Zoo—perfect for photos!
👻 Three levels of Halloween venues (mild, moderate, or scary—choose your thrill level).
🐾 Visit the Zoo animals during your adventure.
🎃 2 bouncy castles (one for children of all ages, and one for toddlers). Please note children must wear socks to participate and no makeup is allowed while using the inflatables.
🐎 Pony rides available with our Tarpan Horse Experience for 7$.
🐐 Animal feeding stations (loonies only).
☀️ Playground fun for the little ones.
🔍 Scavenger Hunt with a chance to win a prize!
📱 Online contests on our Facebook & Instagram leading up to the event.
🍔 Delicious eats & treats available for purchase: Acadian Forest Bistro & Miller’s Kettle Corn.
🕷️ Although costumes are encourages, costume accessories that could cause injury to other visitors or our animals are prohibited. (i.e. fake swords, wands, balloons, weapons, etc.).
🧡 We have collaborated with Roxy's Pet Pantry (a PAW Community Program that provides pet food and essentials to families in our community facing temporary
hardship). Please donate dog & cat food (including puppy & kitten), laundry detergent and bleach during the event.
Venues
🦇 About the Venues
Each Halloween venue is rated by scare level, so you can choose your perfect experience:
- 🎃 Scaredy-Cat 1: Not scary—lots of fun decorations (sometimes animals too!).
- 👀 Scaredy-Cat 2: A little spooky with animatronics and a few jump scares.
- 💀 Scaredy-Cat 3: Full-on haunted with live actors, spooky sounds, fog, and gore. (Not recommended for guests under 16).
Notice
- Boo at the Zoo is an event held in collaboration with the Friends of the Zoo. The Friends of the Zoo is a non-profit volunteer organization which promotes and supports the Magnetic Hill Zoo and its programs. All net profits from this event go directly to building improvements at the zoo.
