March Break Zoo Camp
This camp is for children between the ages of 6 and 8 years old (born between 2017 and 2020).

Theme: Animals of the Biomes 🐻 🦦 🐍🦌
Join us for an exciting March Break Zoo Camp at the Magnetic Hill Zoo! This year’s theme, Animals of the Biomes, will take campers on a journey through the unique biomes found around the world. Campers will discover the incredible animals that call each biome home and learn what makes these environments so special. Each day, they will explore the challenges these biomes face, the species that depend on them, and the actions zoo campers can take to help protect them.
Campers will learn, play games, make crafts, visit the winter hardy animals at the Magnetic Hill Zoo, prepare enrichment activities for the animals, meet animals up close in the classroom, play outside in the snow and at the playground… all while having FUN!
Please note, we have two classes: one English camp and one French camp. This is not a second-language camp. For the safety of the camper, they must fully understand and speak the language of the camp they are signed up for.

Cost: $240 for the full week*
Age Group: Children born in 2017-2020
Group size: 12 campers with one adult, or up to 20 campers with two adults

*If camp is cancelled due to weather, a refund of $48/day will automatically be returned to your original method of payment. We will email early the morning of camp to announce a cancellation so please check your email every morning.
What to bring
Every day of camp, please send the following for your child:
- Two nut free snacks
- A nut free lunch that does not require a microwave
- A water bottle
- Indoor shoes or slippers
- Weather appropriate outdoor clothing including a hat, mittens, snowpants, a winter jacket and boots
- An extra pair of socks and mittens
*Very important to send all clothing items for going outdoors as the classes will go outside multiple times a day (rain or shine)!
Additional information
- For safety purposes, campers will be unable to remain at camp if they cannot completely understand the camp language in which they are registered. These campers would be dismissed with no refund of camp fees.
- Campers who require an aid at school are required to provide an aid to assist them at camp. The adult is admitted free of charge.
- During camp, campers may be videotaped or photographed on behalf of the Magnetic Hill Zoo. Attendance at camp serves as permission for use of these images for the promotion of the Zoo’s education programs. Parents can opt out of this policy by indicating on their child’s registration form.
- Our camps follow a zero tolerance for physical or verbal violence. In the case of infractions, the camper(s) will be immediately dismissed from camp for the remainder of the day and there will be no refund of camp fees.
- Our cancellation policy is 100% refundable if we get 14 days’ notice from the parents or guardians.
Registration
- Registration will open on Thursday December 11 at 10 a.m.
- Registrations are only accepted online.
- Visa and MasterCard are accepted methods of payment. Regretfully, Visa Debit, MasterCard Pass, Interac, and AMEX are not accepted methods of payment.
