Behind the Scenes: Pizza for the Primates
Come learn about the fascinating world of primates and how we care for them at the Magnetic Hill Zoo! It will be an experience that you’ll never forget!

Learn more
This Behind-the-Scenes program focuses on learning more about primates, their nutrition, their conservation status in the wild and how you can help protect threatened and endangered species!
After learning more about primates, you will then create nutritious pizzas for some of our primates specific to that species’ diet and individual preferences. You will then follow your guide to the Behind-the-Scenes area of the primate building to learn about the welfare and care at the Magnetic Hill Zoo.
Experience includes
• An educational presentation about primates, their status in the wild, their diet and nutrition program at zoo, and how you can choose to take action to help these incredible species;
• A pizza making workshop for the primates which you will later watch and join the Zookeeper who will feed the pizzas to the primates;
• A behind the scenes tour of the primate building;
• An up-close exclusive viewing of some of the primates;
• A keeper presentation about the care, and welfare of our primates;
• Admission to visit the rest of the zoo at your leisure after the experience.
